cherry delight recipe

Cherry delight is a recipe that I’ve been making for years. It’s one of my family’s favorites and it’s also great for parties. You can whip up a batch in no time, and it will keep in the fridge for days.

For this recipe, you will need:

  • Cherries
  • Vanilla ice cream (I recommend getting a tub that is around one pint)
  • Whipped cream (you can use the canned stuff or make your own whipped cream)
  • Chocolate syrup

To make cherry delight:

  • Add all the ingredients to a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes more, or until thickened (a little extra water may be added).
  • Remove from heat and let cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
